For guitar and bass
Lyra Tuner
Tune, keep time, learn chords and train your ears in one app that works offline and keeps everything on your device.
Built for iOS, Android, macOS and the web. English, Tiếng Việt, Français.

Tune by needle or strobe
Play a string and Lyra shows the note, how far off it is in cents, and a pitch trace so you can watch it settle.
- 16 preset tunings: standard, half-step and full-step down, Drop D, Drop C, Open G, Open D, Open E, DADGAD, 7- and 8-string guitar, and 4- and 5-string bass.
- Save your own tunings, string by string.
- Reference pitch from A4 = 432 to 444 Hz.
- Hears low strings down to 28 Hz for drop and bass tunings.
- A guided intonation check compares the 12th-fret harmonic with the fretted note.

A click that keeps time
The click is rendered sample by sample inside the audio engine, not by app timers, so it stays steady while you scroll or switch tabs.
- 30 to 250 BPM, with tap tempo and subdivisions.
- Speed trainer: add a few BPM every few bars, up to a ceiling you set.
- Gap bars that drop the click out so you can check your own time.
- Polyrhythms, and tap a beat to accent or mute it.
- A practice timer that counts today’s minutes against an optional daily goal and keeps a streak.

Chords, scales and something to play over
Pick a chord on a circle-of-fifths dial and Lyra builds the voicings for it: open shapes, CAGED forms, drop voicings, shells and triads.
- 24 qualities, from triads and sus chords to 6/9, m7♭5, dim7, m(maj7), ninths and altered dominants such as 7♭9 and 7♯9.
- Write progressions, save them, and hear them played back with whole, quarter, Charleston or palm-muted comping, straight or swung.
- Scales on the neck in any key: the seven modes, pentatonics, blues, harmonic and melodic minor, altered, whole-tone and both diminished scales, shown whole or by CAGED and three-notes-per-string positions.
- Jam: loop a vamp at your tempo and solo over it.

Routines and ear training
Guided routines walk you through timed steps with the click already set, and drills train your ears and your fretboard.
- Routines such as Warm-up, Open-chord changes, Steady strumming, 12-bar blues in A, Speed trainer, ii–V–I shells in 12 keys, Drop 2 inversions and Dorian over Dm7–G7.
- Ear training for intervals, chord quality, modes and chord function. Answer by tapping, or play the answer on your guitar and the mic checks it.
- A fretboard notes trainer that asks you to find or name notes, with a heat map of the spots you miss.
- A weekly chart of the minutes you have practised.

A course you can hear
35 short lessons in a path from fretboard basics through keys, chords and harmony, jazz voicings, modes and minor, to soloing and rhythm, plus a toolkit on technique and guitar care.
- Examples play through the app’s own synth, so you hear each idea.
- Quick-check questions to test what stuck.
- Try it opens the chord in the Chords tab; Practice opens the matching drill or routine.
- Nothing is locked. Continue picks up where your level says you should be.
- Lessons are in English, Vietnamese and French.

Room to spread out on a tablet
Turn a phone or tablet sideways and the navigation moves to a side rail. The Tuner, Metronome, Scales, running routines and ear drills lay out side by side, and lists keep a comfortable reading width.

Small things that matter
- Left-handed mode mirrors every fretboard and chord diagram.
- Higher-contrast text, and an option to keep the screen awake while you play.
- Note names with sharps or flats, as you prefer.
- Export every setting and your progress as a backup file, and paste it back in on another device.
Private by design
No account, no ads, no analytics. The microphone is processed on your device and never recorded. Read the privacy policy.
